A Personal Computer will be required for installation and operation of this printing system. When using the USB direct print function files must be processed through Garment Creator first.
Designed to operate with a low-mid range PC or Mac with reasonable memory & storage, a CD-ROM drive, OS 10.7.x / OS X 10.6.8 or higher / XP or higher (including Vista, Win 7 & 8 in 32 or 64bit). External Web access will be required during installation.
A 3rd party Heat Press with temperature and pressure gauges will be required. Presses can be sourced from a number of suppliers in various sizes and formats. |

**After sales support is co-ordinated via Epson’s authorised dealer network. In the situation where a hardware repair is required this will be organised by your dealer and provided by Epson free on-site within metro locations (regional locations will attract additional charges). Cover can be extended up to a maximum of 3 years through purchase of optional CoverPlus packages. Important: Cover may be restricted or denied if the user does not perform maintenance & cleaning as outlined in the user guide &/or advised by Epson Australia or New Zealand, if equipment is used outside of specification &/or with non-Epson consumables.Warranty covers all non-consumable parts conditional on a number of factors including use of correct Epson ink, regular printer cleaning and maintenance, regular cartridge agitation & timely consumption, operation with correct platen height setting, correct garment preparation, pre-treatment and flattening. To ensure reliable operation, the printer undertakes continuous self-cleaning and mist extraction. The 5C configuration utilises an automatic ink recycling system to minimise sedimentation within the ink lines. Regular (daily) manual agitation of the ink cartridges is required to ensure consistent performance and if operated in full automatic maintenance mode it will periodically (typically once every three to nine months for colour channels and once every two to four weeks for white channels) instruct the user to remove the relevant ink cartridges and insert cleaning cartridges to perform a full internal clean. This process also needs to be undertaken if the printer is not used for a period of 2 weeks or more. The cleaning process is mandatory and will result in the purging of all ink stored in the relevant channels inside the machine (remaining ink in the cartridges is preserved). With installation of the latest firmware (download available here) and selection of the optional Manual Tube Cleaning Mode the user can prevent the wastage associated with the periodic purging in return for 10 minutes of daily manual cleaning using the optional new Tube Maintenance Kit. Cartridges must be used before the date specified on packaging and once opened must be used within one year. |
