True 1200 dpi Quality with Speed

The EPL-N2050 laser is an A4 printer that prints at 20 pages per minute. It features 1200 x 1200 dpi print resolution for clearer definition on text documents and smoother gradation on graphical images. It features standard 16MB memory that can be expanded to 256MB. This means customers have the flexibility to upgrade the printer as their business needs grow. It also ensures computers won't become congested during printing.

Versatile Functions and Connectivity for Network Applications

The EPL-N2050 is ready for use in multi-host and multi-protocol environments, thanks to its built-in network support functions for 100Base TX configuration. These functions accommodate leading network protocols such as TCP-IP, IPX/SPX and NetBIOS/NetBEUI, automatically selecting the correct protocol for maximum efficiency and data transfer speed. It also offers built-in Web-based management tools to let you easily manage networks with multi-vendor printers from a standard browser. And finally, it provides an IEEE 1284 bi-directional parallel interface, RS-232C serial interface and a slot for configuring optional Epson Type B interface cards.

Operating Epson Printers Just Keeps Getting Easier

We keep improving our printer driver software, so our printers keep getting easier to operate. Our latest on-screen status monitor, the Epson StatusMonitor 3, is bundled in the printer driver, making operation easy. Installation in a PC is quick and simple, as is control of printer functions. Naturally, the monitor gives you the information you need about printer status, such as toner level, remaining paper and paper size/direction settings, and identifies any problems that might arise. The printer itself is helpful, too, with red, yellow and green LEDs on the front panel, and a Remaining Paper Indicator that moves down as paper is used.

Options Expand Your Output Choices

The EPL-N2050 has a range of versatile options. An optional two-sided duplex unit lets users print on both sides of a page. Other options include, envelope feeder, lockable mailbox and much more.

An optional 10-bin Secure Mail box unit can hold up to 45 sheets each. It features a lock function, with each user having their own password. This means that sensitive materials can be printed with confidentiality. Finally, an optional Shifter automatically collates documents. Each set of documents are shifted slightly from the previous one.

Paper Handling

The EPL-N2050 has a standard 650 sheets universal paper tray and a 100 sheet multi-purpose tray. Two optional 550 sheet lower paper cassettes can also be added. This means it can be configured to accept up to five different media sources with an input paper capacity of 1,750 sheets. This offers flexibility and requires minimum user intervention.

PostScript

The EPL-N2050 can be turned into an affordable PostScript printer by installing the optional Adobe PostScript 3 Kit. This means users who require document portability can proof PostScript jobs before sending them to a bureau for final printing.
