Sydney, 6 November: Epson Australia today released the Epson Stylus Photo R250 standalone inkjet printer for high quality printing and easy operation for home users.

The Epson Stylus Photo R250 is a convenient, high quality photo printer with a 2pl (picolitre) droplet size and a resolution up to 5760 dpi (dots per inch) using RPM (Resolution Performance Management) technology, for beautiful, vibrant colour prints.

The Stylus Photo R250 features an easy to operate colour LCD viewer for PC free printing. Users can select the photos or images they wish to print on the LCD viewer, select multiple prints, number of copies, paper type and the paper size displayed on the user-friendly control panel.

With multiple card slots (CF Type II, Smart Media, Memory Stick, SD/MMC and xD-Picture card) catering for most popular digital camera memory cards, a high speed USB2.0 interface and PictBridge suppert, the Stylus Photo R250 is suitable for most home user's digital photography needs.

A cost effective solution to home printing, the Stylus Photo R250 uses four individual colour (C,M,Y,K) ink cartridges, so users only need to replace single cartridges.

The Stylus Photo R250 prints at up to 20 ppm (pages per minute) in monochrome text and 19 ppm in colour text and has a high speed colour 4x6 photo print time of just 47 seconds.

The Stylus Photo R250 produces beautiful BorderFree(TM) prints up to A4 size, so photos can be enlarged easily and cost effectively for showcasing in a frame at home or at the office.

With software including Epson's fun and easy to use Creativity Suite, Epson Story Teller and Epson's Photo Enhance software, home users will find printing from the Stylus Photo R250 simple and enjoyable while achieving great results.

The Epson Stylus Photo R250 is $249 RRP (including GST) and is available for purchase at consumer electronics retailers, computer superstores, mass merchandisers, office superstores and selected photo specialty stores.
