For improved image quality, the Perfection 3490 Photo and Perfection 3590 Photo have been designed with an innovative 3200dpi MatrixCCD (Charge Coupled Device) and Micro Lens technology combination. This combination is similar to that found in many digital cameras, providing extremely high levels of light sensitivity.
Featuring also an optical density of 3.2 Dmax, the Perfection 3490 Photo and Perfection 3590 Photo afford significant improvements over earlier models in capturing details in both highlight and shadow. The results are highly detailed scans which, when printed on an Epson Stylus Photo printer, deliver outstanding photographic prints.
