3LCD Technology

All Epson projectors are based on 3-chip LCD technology for amazing colour, incredible detail and solid reliability. 3LCD’s 3-chip architecture dedicates an entire chip to process each primary colour – red, green and blue, continuously. Unlike single-chip technology that delivers colour sequentially, you get full-time colour. The result is vibrant, realistic images and video all delivered with 3LCD’s true-to-life colour.

Up to 3x Brighter Colours with Epson Projectors*

Epson projectors use 3LCD Engines that have no colour wheel with a white segment and therefore don't force a tradeoff between white and colour brightness.

In fact, Epson projectors have up to 3x Brighter Colours than their leading competitive 1-chip DLP projectors*. All Epson projectors list both White Brightness and Colour Brightness specifications, and all have high Colour Brightness.

Laser Light Source

Experience astonishing quality and reliability with Epson’s new laser light source. The newly designed laser light source and advanced electrostatic filter deliver 20,000 hours of maintenance-free use and consistent performance for total peace of mind during important presentations.

Native 4K Panel1

Our own 1.03-inch, native 4K panel delivers ultra-high definition image quality and beautiful output. The panel with its 6 µm pixel-pitch is designed by Epson and manufactured to the highest standards in our Japanese factories.

1Native 4K panel is only available in EB-L12000QNL model

12,000 lumens

Powered by 3LCD technology and Epson’s laser optical engine, the EB-L12000QNL is capable of producing white light and colour light output of 12,000 lumens in native 4K resolution, delivering captivating images in virtually any venue.

The laser light source also lets you take control of brightness with precise adjustment in increments of 1% and a constant brightness mode that maintains brightness at a specified level.

Inorganic Components

Epson’s newly developed phosphor wheel is made of inorganic material with superior light and heat-resistance to deliver excellent reliability. We’ve also developed inorganic LCD panels – a key component of imaging devices. Combining an inorganic phosphor wheel with inorganic LCD panels in a laser projector, results in bright, vibrant images for long periods.

ADVANCED DURABILITY

Triple-Layer Dustproof Structure

EB-L12000QNL has three layers of protection for excellent durability and dust-resistance. The light source and optical elements are both sealed, and the newly developed liquid cooling system splits airflow while reducing incoming air to the optical engine by 86%* compared to conventional models. In addition, replaceable electrostatic filters cut dust intake to miniscule levels up to 20,000 hours.

Sealed Optical Engine

Key optical components, including the inorganic panel, inorganic phosphor wheel and laser bank are sealed to prevent contamination by dust or smoke.

86%* Reduced Airflow and Sealed Engine

The cooling system takes in air independently for both the radiator and power supply. This reduces airflow to the optical engine by 86%* compared to conventional models.

*Measured by acceleration test assuming use of 0.04 - 0.20 mg/m3 of particulate matter. Time varies depending on usage conditions and environments

Long-Life, Replaceable Electrostatic Filters

Electrostatic filters give you 20,000 hours of use and vastly reduce incoming dust impairing optical components.

Total Liquid Cooling System

A newly developed liquid cooling system maintains optimal temperatures of key optical elements. The inorganic LCD panels, inorganic phosphor wheel and laser light source stays cool no matter how the projector is installed. This efficient cooling system helps to achieve a compact body size

Compact and Robust Body

The adoption of a pipe frame and baseplate structure has greatly improved the durability of the casing. By redesigning in the internal structure, the EB-L12000QNL has achieved a compact and lightweight design for easy installation.

ADVANCED INSTALLATION FEATURES

Interchangeable Interface Slot

Interface slots allow for a variety of custom hardware according to your usage. Additionally, it allows for new interfaces and interface updates in the future.

ELPIF01: HDMI/DVI
ELPIF02: SDI (EB-L12000QNL only)
ELPIF03: Display Port

Multiple Interfaces

The LAN terminal is a robust, lockable etherCON connector for firm connections even after repeated use. Also, the EB-L12000QNL supports 12G SDI* to project 4K images using one cable and outputting a 12G signal from the output terminal. The optional ELPIF03 interface board has a DisplayPort connector that supports 4K – 120 Hz signals.

*Only available on SDI terminal 1

DMX-ArtNet

EB-L12000QNL supports DMX-ArtNet for synchronizing lighting effects (such as pre-programmed sequences) with audio.

Auto-Colour Adjustment

The built-in camera detects subtle colour inconsistencies between multiple projectors. It detects screens that have become unevenly coloured over time, allowing the projector to automatically correct colour. This function can be set to check colour manually or automatically at regular intervals to deliver stable image quality with minimal maintenance.

Tiling Assist

The built-in camera automatically compensates for overlapping areas and corner positions to deliver seamless multi-projector displays, making big-screen projections a snap.

Powered Lens Shift, Zoom and Focus

The motorised lens shift covers a wide range, giving you a great deal of flexibility when installing the projector. A newly adopted stepping motor lets you make highly precise adjustments when employing edge blending, stacking and other techniques. Adjustments can be made via remote control or over a network, enhancing usability even for ceiling-mounted projectors.

Multi-Directional Projection

EB-L12000QNL can be rotated 360° in any direction - horizontally, vertically and rotationally - without any loss in image brightness.

Screw Holes for Eyebolts

Screw holes are provided on both the top and bottom. Strong threads make it safe and easy to transport the projector via a crane.

Epson Projector Professional Tool

Exclusively bundled to Epson L-Series projectors, Epson Projector Professional Tool software helps simplify setup of multi-projector installations. Offering intuitive geometry correction such as edge-blending and corrections for curved surfaces, large scale presenting has become much easier and flexible. The software also lets you control colour-matching and brightness.

Simple control

Use features such as Epson Projector Management software to monitor and control projectors, with fleet control across a network or on a web browser to keep track of up to 2,000 projectors. The latest models feature a newly designed OSD Control Pad function that shows a representation of lens conditions on a smart device.

Ten Optional Lenses

For added flexibility, the EB-L12000QNL offers a total of ten lenses, including middle, wide, long, short and ultra-short throw that allow users to choose the lens most suited for their environment. A quick-release lever allows for a fast, easy lens exchange.

Ultra-Short Throw Lens

The ELPLX02 is an UST lens to accommodate high brightness Epson laser projector models ranging from 12klm to 20klm. This produces images in 16:10 aspect ratio from 100 inches to a massive 1,000 inches at a throw distance of 0.74m - 7.69m respectively and has lens shift of +25% vertical and +/- 15% horizontally for added flexibility.

5 Year Warranty*

Experience complete peace of mind with the 20,000 hours or 5 year warranty (whichever comes first). This ensures reliable long-term performance and gives you the freedom to concentrate on your presentations.

*Warranted for 5 years or 20,000 hours, whichever occurs first, see www.epson.com.au for full warranty terms and conditions
