Terms & Conditions


The following conditions are applicable if you have purchased a 5 Year Rapid Exchange Epson CoverPlus for the projector models:


  1. This Epson CoverPlus service extends the standard service coverage from 3 years (36 months) to 5 years (60 months).
  2. This Epson CoverPlus service enhances the coverage type from Return to Base to Rapid Exchange.
  3. 5 year product exchange coverage commences from actual purchase date of main unit.
  4. Can be purchased any time during the first 3 years from date of purchase of main unit.
  5. This Epson CoverPlus service makes customer eligible for replacement of their faulty unit with a functional equivalent; one of like & quality.
  6. If a defect is established before 11:30am EST, then a replacement product will be shipped from Epson Sydney that day, at our cost to your location by express courier.
  7. Customers must remove & re-install the projector at their own expense.
  8. Lamp warranty as per standard will remain as 12 months or 750 hours (whichever occurs first) i.e. if a lamp fails outside this period; it will need to be replaced by the customer at their own expense.
  9. Epson will arrange a separate courier to pick up the faulty unit.
  10. Customer is responsible for packing the faulty unit in the box in which the replacement unit will be supplied.
  11. Exchange or replaced projector will assume the remaining coverage period under the service pack.
  12. Epson's liability for replacement of product will not exceed the original retail selling price of the projector.
  13. This Epson CoverPlus service is not transferable.
  14. This Epson CoverPlus service does not apply to Epson Quality Refurbished Product / Factory Seconds or Epson product accessories or consumables.
  15. This Epson CoverPlus service cannot be used in conjunction with or to extend the term of any third party extended warranty agreement, or service agreement.
  16. Coverage under Epson CoverPlus does not include consumables including lamps & filters.
  17. Epson CoverPlus can only be used with a main unit sold by Epson New Zealand or by a Stockist.
  18. Use of non-genuine Epson consumables may void the benefits of Epson CoverPlus service.
  19. Any consequential loss or damage claimed to arise from your use of the main unit is not covered under this service product. In particular (but without limitation) Epson New Zealand will not be liable for actual or expected revenue loss or for any corruption or loss of data claimed to arise from your use of the main product.
  20. CoverPlus commences immediately after the expiry of the product's Express Warranty and the Express Warranty commences at the date of purchase or delivery of the product.

Rapid Exchange Epson CoverPlus Claim Process:
If you wish to utilise the services & support under Epson CoverPlus; you must do the following:

  1. Call the support centre at 0800 237 766
  2. Let the agent know that you have purchased a Rapid Exchange Service Pack.
  3. Customer will be routed to technical engineer who will try to resolve the issue on the phone.
  4. Provide the projector model details & the serial number to the engineer.
  5. If unresolved the technical engineer will log the case for the shipment of replacement projector.
  6. If the call is made before 11 AM; it will be shipped the same day; in all other cases it will ship next business day.

Rapid Exchange Epson CoverPlus Exclusions:
Coverage under Epson CoverPlus will not apply if any of the following occurs during the applicable period:

  1. A Product's serial number or any rating label is removed or changed in any way;
  2. A Product is found to have been used in an excessively dusty environment;
  3. A Product is serviced or repaired by anyone other than a Service Agent;
  4. You use a Product contrary to any recommended, technical, operating, handling or storage guidelines in its user guide;
  5. If a Product is found to have been used continuously during the coverage period; or
  6. A Product's malfunction or failure to perform according to Epson New Zealand's specifications results from:
  1. Deliberate or accidental damage;
  2. Neglect or modification by or on behalf of an End User;
  3. The use of incorrect voltage or a power surge;
  4. The use of non-Genuine consumables, software, replacement parts, accessories and/or interfacing; or
  5. Any parts require repair or replacement as a result of normal wear and tear, corrosion or stain.

 

Non-Genuine Items
If you use non-Genuine Lamps, software, replacement parts or accessories in or with your Product during the relevant warranty period, you may damage the Product and may consequently invalidate this service coverage for the product.
